Best stucco mix for gluing styrofoam trim?

I am working on my house and trying to find the right stucco mix to attach some styrofoam trim pieces onto my existing stucco wall. Does anyone know of an alternative stucco mix that is easily available? I already tried a product called Rapid Set Stucco Patch, but it was way too thick and grainy to work well for this job. I have heard that LaHabra Poly-Blend is supposed to be the best kind of mix for this, but I cannot find it anywhere near me. The trim pieces are thin, only about four inches wide and one inch deep, and they run horizontally across the wall. I am preparing the styrofoam by wrapping it in that nylon mesh we use for drywall repairs. I thought about maybe trying Silka Latex Concrete Bonding Adhesive but I am unsure if that would be strong enough and I really need an actual stucco product.

Have you considered looking for a common stucco base coat or a polymer-modified cement that is easily available at building supply centers and designed for EIFS products?

I haven't tried it. Do you think a common stucco base coat or a polymer-modified cement works the same as those I am looking for?

yeah, EIFS Base Coats are polymer fortified, fibered stucco base coats designed to adhere fiberglass mesh to foam and then the foam to the wall, I'm sure they would work
