What's your go-to trowel setup for bricklaying?

So yeah this sounds like a basic question but there's real variation in what people swear by. I've been using a 10-inch London pattern for most work and a margin trowel for touching up joints and getting into tight spots. The pointing trowel for repointing obviously. My latest addition is a good German-pattern brick trowel which I resisted for a long time but now prefer for laying courses in confined spaces. The brand war (Marshalltown vs. WHS vs. Ox) is real and not entirely without merit, balance and feel matter when you're lifting that thing thousands of times a day. What are you using and have you switched brands mid-career?

That's a good setup already. I’ve mostly stuck with a 10" London pattern as the daily driver too but I’ve found the German pattern really shines in tighter work where control matters more than speed. Margin trowel is one of those tools you don’t appreciate until you don’t have it. Brand-wise, feel and balance usually matter more than the logo once you’re putting in full days.
