I'm curious, how many of you brick masons actually leave a job site spotless? my longtime guy used to rake up every broken brick and mortar splash, but this new crew was a total nightmare.
they left piles of debris everywhere and then had the nerve to say cleanup was extra when I called them out (huh?)
I ended up firing them and told them to get lost. Now the head brickie is calling back, trying to patch things up with a new lead. I told him to lose my number.
is it standard practice now for cleanup to be an add on, or did I do the right thing by cutting them loose?
