Quoting a church repointing project

I'm preparing a quote for a church repointing project, around 240 square feet, and all of it needs to be tackled using a boom lift. I've estimated it at $32 per square foot, not including the lift rental, but I'm starting to wonder if that's undervaluing the work. Has anyone tackled something like this?

Ok I read repointing right I thought I was in the paint forum. $32 is a little low since you're dealing with old mortar or hard-to-access stuff. Bump it a little bit higher, I suppose.

Something like a church where you're likely dealing with higher elevations, detail work, and careful cleanup could be more difficult, if the mortar is in rough shape or the joints are narrow and delicate, the price could turn tight real fast depending on your region and material costs, bumping it up a bit wouldn't be out of line

@Sixteen Candles Yeah, it's definitely not easy access, and the mortar's pretty weathered too. I'll revisit the numbers and maybe pad it a bit to reflect the added effort and risk involved. Thanks!

@Mr.Everest You have a good point! Those tighter joints and cleanup details can really eat up time. I'll likely adjust the rate a bit to cover the extra precision and labor.

That really hits home, I hadn't fully factored in the preservation aspect or how pricing impacts the trade. I'm going to rethink the quote and make sure it reflects the true scope and responsibility.
