my neighbor saw me doing works on my shed and somehow thought I could do his two-storey house in the suburbs. he said he thinks I could make it and really offered a huge amount. so for this one it has 2 floors but the garage attached to it is just 1 floor. what footer should I put on the garage? same size and depth as the entire house or? I was just wondering if I also should leave a gap somewhere where the garage door is like connected to the house or?

If the garage is attached, I'd recommend tying the footers together because if not, you'll get differential setting. Not gonna like that, are you?

Yeah, I totally get it. If they're not connected, you're probably going to run into issues later on. It's not worth the trouble. Are you pouring both at once or adding the garage later?
