I decided to leave university after three years of switching majors to return to the world of masonry. I previously worked for a company as a laborer and stone layer and I always took pride in my strong work ethic. I reached out to my old bosses to tell them I wanted to make this a permanent career and they offered me an apprenticeship starting this Monday. I am excited to get back to physical work but I have some questions about how the process works. I think I need to log work hours and then attend school during the winter months. I also need advice on finding comfortable footwear because I really dislike wearing heavy steel toed boots all day. It feels good to have a clear path forward in a trade I already enjoy.
