I am a total beginner looking at careers and masonry really interests me but I have no construction experience. I see these big new buildings with brick on them but it looks like the walls are actually pre-made panels. That makes me wonder if they still lay bricks the old way for big projects like high rises and warehouses anymore or if all that work has been replaced. But I assume residential homes still use traditional methods, right? Is this still a good trade to get into for a long-term career or should I be looking at something else instead? And are the skills you learn in residential work useful for commercial jobs? Thanks so much.
