real world advice for closing a basement window in 2025

Trying to close in a basement window and it feels like one of those jobs no single trade wants to fully own. It's a poured concrete wall with brick veneer outside. Window's about 6' by 5', half of it buried in a window well. Plan is to pull it, fill it with concrete, waterproof the buried part, then run brick veneer on the exposed section.

The question is... who the hell do you even call? Concrete guys will want to stop after the pour. Bricklayers will want to stop after the veneer. Waterproofers will only touch the membrane. Feels like I'd end up hiring three trades for one window. Anyone in Oregon (or anywhere) actually found a contractor who handled this whole scope without bouncing you around?

The person you need to find is a residential general contractor or a company that specializes in foundation work and home remodeling. Do you know anyone in your area?
A general contractor is set up to manage all the different parts of the project. They hire the concrete crew, the waterproofing crew, and the bricklayer and oversee the entire project. This type of contractor is used to working on multi-faceted jobs, so I suggest you try it.
