Thin veneer stone trend

I notice that more and more people are using thin stone veneer for walls, fireplaces, and exteriors these days and I think it's because it gives that solid-stone look without all the weight.

What most like about it is it's easier to install, cheaper to transport, and still looks authentic, however, it is not as durable as full-depth stone, and corners can look a little “off” if not detailed right. So you have to make sure you hire a goo mason to tidy it up and make it look seamless.

What do you think of veneer stones?

I think it will be the future of stonework. I haven't done one myself but I've seen some do it and they really look good. I haven't checke dthe cost but it is cheaper?

well, I understand the trends. the veneer stone is great for people who want the classic, durable look of stone without the structural and cost burdens of traditional full depth masonry, as long as it's installed correctly by a competent professional
